Omnitrans recently welcomed Jennifer Sims as new director of Procurement. Sims brings more than 20 years of experience in supply chain, material management, contracting and procurement plus Federal Transit Administration knowledge.
“We’re very fortunate to have Jennifer join our leadership team,” said CEO/General Manager Milo Victoria. “Her prior work in the government sector, including public transit experience, made Jennifer an ideal candidate.”
Prior to joining Omnitrans, Sims held key procurement positions at the county of Riverside and city of Colton in Southern California. She most recently served as purchasing agent/manager of diversity at Metrolink, Southern California’s commuter rail system. There she implemented BidsOnline, a comprehensive online bidding and contract management system.
Sims earned a BA in administrative studies from the University of California, Riverside. She is a certified purchasing manager and is active with the California Association of Public Procurement Officials, currently serving as immediate past president.
Sims resides in Yucaipa, Calif.
