All available space has been reserved at InnoTrans 2012 (Sept. 18-21) and the individual segments of the fair, including Railway Infrastructure, are expanding. As a result, exhibitors in the Railway Infrastructure segment are also represented in Hall 5.2 this year, and for the first time are occupying six halls at the fair. The background: compared with the previous occasion on which this trade fair was held, the overall display area set aside for Railway Infrastructure has increased from 25,000 to 30,000 square metres overall. This enables InnoTrans 2012 to provide exhibitors and trade visitors with an even more comprehensive and international overview of the market. Some 53 percent of those participating in Railway Infrastructure are coming from abroad.
The requirements of a modern, properly maintained rail network are constantly imposing new demands. The international rail industry is using the Railway Infrastructure segment to present innovative solutions for an efficient railway system. The display ranges from track systems to services and the execution and monitoring of construction work. It also includes equipment for overhead lines and for signalling and control systems. Some idea of the quality to be found in the Railway Infrastructure show can be gained from the fact that the majority of the exhibitors are making a repeat appearance at InnoTrans, among them Vossloh AG and the Swiss industry association Swissrail.
James N. I am awaiting InnoTrans 2012 with great anticipation and I am certain that it will again serve as the largest shop window for the rail industry in 2012."
Along with the regular participants in the fair there are also many new exhibitors in the Railway Infrastructure segment this year. Welding Alloys Group is one of them. It will be displaying its complete range at InnoTrans, consisting of welding additives and an innovative, fully automated system for welding rails (Gauge Corner Welding Machine - GCR 3 Touch).

For the first time at InnoTrans there will also be a combined American stand in the Railway Infrastructure segment. Among the exhibitors there will be Nordco Rail Services, Loram Maintenance of Way and Georgetown Rail Equipment Company, KLD Labs and Knox Kershaw. The national stand is being organised by the Railway Engineering-Maintenance Suppliers Association (REMSA).
