The T Board Elects 2012 Officers and Announces Two New Members

Chair is Gary W. Cumbie, Donor Relations Officer, Tarrant County College Foundation; Vice Chair is Rosa Navejar, executive director and president of the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; and Secretary is Gary Havener, a real estate developer.

At its November 16 meeting, The T (Fort Worth Transportation Authority) board of directors re-elected its current officers to serve in 2012.

Chair is Gary W. Cumbie, Donor Relations Officer, Tarrant County College Foundation; Vice Chair is Rosa Navejar, executive director and president of the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; and Secretary is Gary Havener, a real estate developer.

Two new appointments were made to The T's nine-member board. The Rev. Maurice E. Barnes, pastor of Zion Missionary Baptist Church, who has served on the City of Fort Worth Zoning Commission, will represent the board position previously held since 2005 by former state Rep. Reby Cary. Steve Berry, a partner and co-founder of Vintage Capital Partners, a real estate development firm, and board member of Streams and Valleys, the Region C Water Planning Resources Committee, and the Trinity Improvement Association, will represent The T board position previously held by Bob Jameson, general manager of the Renaissance Worthington Hotel, whose eight years on The T board included serving as chair in 2007.

Also sworn in were returning board members Mike Brennan, Jesse Martinez, Jeffrey Ritter and Janet L. Saltsgiver.
