Skanska Hires Richard Aquino as Vice President of Business Development

Skanska USA's civil business unit, a leading contractor in the U.S. construction and infrastructure markets, announced it has hired Rich Aquino as vice president of business development.

Skanska USA's civil business unit, a leading contractor in the U.S. construction and infrastructure markets, announced it has hired Rich Aquino as vice president of business development.

Aquino will use his more than 36 years of diversified experience in business development within the engineering, construction and energy markets to help expand Skanska USA Civil's business and presence in critical growth markets across the United States.

"Rich brings with him a wealth of experience within the industry," says Rich Cavallaro, president of Skanska USA Civil. "I am confident that the talent he brings to the team will help us reach our business growth goals and strengthen the business unit."

Before joining Skanska, Aquino spent over three years at URS Corp. as vice president and general manager, and three years at Washington Group International as vice president. Prior to that, he served as vice president of business development at EMCOR group and as the power project development director at Foster Wheeler. Additionally, he has previously held progressive business development positions at Raytheon Engineers and Constructors and Ebasco Constructors.

Aquino is involved with several professional associations including Partnership for New York, New York Building Congress, American Society of Civil Engineers, the Design-Build Institute of America and the Construction Management Association of America.

He holds a bachelor's degree in civil and environmental engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
