BAE Systems Names Bob Lamanna as Director of Global Service and Support for Power and Energy Management

BAE Systems has named Bob Lamanna as director of global service and support for power and energy management, which includes its family of HybriDrive hybrid electric propulsion systems.

BAE Systems has named Bob Lamanna as director of global service and support for power and energy management, which includes its family of HybriDrive hybrid electric propulsion systems.

BAE Systems is committed to the advancement of hybrid electric technology as well as to the transportation industry. HybriDrive Series and Parallel systems feature enhanced capabilities and technologies as a result of significant and on-going technology and manufacturing investment. Lamanna will lead field support, spare parts, technical support, training and aftermarket sales to implement the processes, tools, and infrastructure that will ensure outstanding service and support worldwide. His team consists of program managers, support center personnel, the inventory team, field service and support groups and regional service leads.

“Bob’s appointment reflects BAE Systems’ commitment to product and customer satisfaction,” said Steve Trichka, general manager of power and energy management for BAE Systems. “He and his team will champion the continued development and implementation of our service infrastructure and aftermarket support that complement our products and meet the requirements of our customers and end users.”

The HybriDrive Series propulsion system powers the world’s largest hybrid bus fleet and carries more than two million passengers every day. Buses equipped with HybriDrive series have traveled more than 300 million miles, prevented more than 280,000 tons of CO2 emissions and have saved more than 25 million gallons of diesel fuel. More than 3,500 systems have been ordered or delivered across North America and the U.K.

Lamanna joined BAE Systems this spring. He previously served as director of customer solutions for Endicott Interconnect Technologies in Endicott, N.Y. Prior to that, Lamanna worked as global service and support director for Universal Instruments Corp. He holds a bachelor of science in electrical and computer engineering from Drexel University. He is based in Johnson City, N.Y.
