Calpipe Security Bollards Develops Lighted Bollards for Security Applications

Calpipe Security Bollards, a U.S. manufacturer of security bollards, has developed a line of lighted security bollards that provide illumination to direct vehicles, guide pedestrians and light walkways but are strong enough to prevent vehicle incursion. Calpipe Security Bollards offers customization of the lighted security bollards, making them for low to high security applications, and collaborates with project managers, architects and contractors from the design and specification stage through installation. Designated the SSL Series, the lighted security bollards are constructed of an inner core of carbon steel to withstand high-speed impacts and an outer sleeve of Type 304 stainless steel for aesthetics and durability in harsh environments.

Lighted bollards are commonly used to light walkways and/or landscape lighting. Most lighted bollards are constructed from cement or stone, which are susceptible to blemishes and require regular maintenance in order to retain their integrity. Calpipe's lighted security bollards' stainless steel finish is inherently durable even in harsh environments, and their engineered footings and carbon steel inner cores provide added security that stone and cement bollards cannot. The lighting fixtures are available in metal halide, CFL, induction fluorescent and LED versions with stacked, paracline, glass, louvre, two-louvre and refractor optics, and the lens materials are either opaque or clear.

Calpipe Security Bollards' lighted security bollards are available in standard and customized versions. All models extend 36 inches above ground. Other specifications can be accommodated based upon the application and degree of security needed.
