With a 1,063-mile rail network and more than 12,300 bus stops, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is one of the largest North American transit systems. In order to improve asset reliability and reduce maintenance costs, WMATA utilizes IBM Maximo for Transportation software for tracking and maintaining assets and preventive and corrective maintenance.
