Not all lawyers in Kansas City are in favor of the project.
Michael Messina, an attorney whose offices are south of the proposed route, has contributed $34,000 to Citizens for Sensible Transit, according to campaign finance reports. Groups that share his address have given another $28,000. Messina could not be reached for comment on Friday.
