NJ: Woman Struck by NJ Transit Bus Remains in Critical Condition, Authorities Say

A pedestrian who was struck by a NJ Transit bus remained hospitalized in critical condition on Sunday, authorities said.

Debra Dopkin, 68, of Pikesville, Maryland, was walking in an unknown direction on Route 9 when she was struck by a NJ Transit bus that was traveling southbound on the highway and turning to head east on 6th Street, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office spokesman Al Della Fave said.

Dopkin was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, Della Fave said. She was in the area visiting family.
