Metro Halifax Police have arrested a man wanted in an attack that took place on a Halifax Transit bus in late October.

According to Halifax Regional Police, officers responded to an assault in progress on the Route 2 Wedgewood bus traveling to the Lacewood Terminal around 7:30 p.m. Oct. 29.

The driver noticed a commotion at the rear of the bus and pulled over at the corner of Bayers Road and Desmond Avenue to call police.

A 50-year-old man told responding officers he boarded the bus near the Halifax Shopping Centre and asked a man sitting behind him to turn down the music coming from his earphones.
