Aug. 18--A Green Line trolley partially derailed this morning, causing a backup for T commuters but no injuries, authorities said.
Boston firefighters responded to the MBTA trolley derailment outside of the Green Line's busy Kenmore Station.
The call came in around 10:30 a.m. when, according to Boston Fire Department spokesman Steve MacDonald, the trolley was heading outbound towards Commonwealth Avenue when it derailed.
"It was a partial derailment. We evacuated the train of its passengers and assisted one person, but there were no injuries," said MacDonald.
The MBTA is currently working to put the streetcar back on the tracks, and firefighters left the scene within 15 minutes.
A spokesperson for the MBTA did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
