July 31--Bus riders in Kansas City, Kan., can now enjoy a free Wi-Fi connection at the 47th Street Transit Center.
The Unified Government said Sprint has agreed to provide the service at no cost for at least a year and will then evaluate whether to continue it. Officials said this is the first transit center in the metropolitan area to offer free Wi-Fi.
The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority earlier this year announced free Wi-Fi on all MAX buses and 22 other Metro buses, provided by T-Mobile US.
