A public meeting will be held today in Chesapeake to gather feedback on the state's six-year spending plan and priorities for highway, rail and transit projects.
The meeting will start as an open house with displays at 6 p.m., followed by public comment at 7 p.m., according to the Virginia Department of Transportation. It will take place at the Hampton Roads Transportation Planning Organization, 723 Woodlake Dr.
The Six-Year Improvement Program is updated annually. A draft will be available for review in the spring, at which time there will be more public hearings across the state.
The document is scheduled for adoption in June.
