Volunteers will carry out an Olympic security exercise on Tuesday. The event has been organised by Bexley Council and the Met Police. Volunteers will act as survivors of a major rail crash near Bexley village and will be brought to the Civic Officers in Bexleyheath Broadway by bus and Red Cross vehicles.
The exercise has been designed to test the conditions for looking after survivors of an accident or major incident during the Olympics. It is part of the borough's plan to prepare for the Games.
