IL: Woman Struck, Killed By Train in Naperville

Naperville police say a woman sitting on the railroad tracks was struck and killed by an eastbound commuter train late Saturday night.

The woman, whom police have not yet identified, sat on the tracks roughly 500 feet east of the Loomis Street pedestrian crossing, authorities said in a news release. The accident occurred at 11:40 p.m.

Metra's train service was disrupted for a short time after the accident but was back to normal Sunday morning. No additional information was available Sunday.
