Australia: Troubled Waratah Train Project Given $1.8bn

The New South Wales Government's September 2011 Budget features $A23.7bn worth of expenditure on transport infrastructure over the next four years. This includes an additional $A1.8bn for the Waratah rail project, which is being undertaken via a public-private partnership arrangement.
