A man trying to get on a D-Dot bus in Detroit was run over, according to police.

A man trying to get on a D-Dot bus in Detroit was run over, according to police.

The incident happened at the Rosa Parks Transit Center Saturday evening.

Police told Local 4, a D-Dot bus was turning right on Grand River when a man tried to get on the bus in the middle of the street. The bus driver warned him that he couldn't do that and the man started to walk away. Minutes later the man turned around and tried to get back on the bus when he was struck.

According to police, the man was taken to the hospital and is listed in critical condition.

No one on the D-Dot bus was hurt.

An investigation is underway.
