MO: St. Louis County Council OKs Loan for Metro
The St. Louis County Council on Tuesday authorized a loan of up to $400 million to the Metro transit agency.
The council voted 5-2 to approve the loan from unspent Proposition A funds. Metro initially would be loaned about $75 million, which would help retire debt from the Forest Park-to-Shrewsbury MetroLink line.
