Manager – Transit Sales NA
Hoppecke Batteries Inc the North American subsidiary of Hoppecke Batterien of Germany and supplier of Fiber Nickel Cadmium batteries to the N. American Rail and Transit markets, has a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Technical Sales Professional to become an integral part of our North American team.
We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Manager – Transit Sales NA. The Manager – Transit sales NA will have a track record of growth oriented results in the Rail Transit market. Demonstrated ability to work with engineering, maintenance and purchasing personnel for both OEM’s and Domestic Transit Systems.
The successful candidate will be responsible for direct account sales as well as specification and contract review, preparation of detailed technical and commercial sales proposals, project management, after market sales and hands-on applications engineering.
Position Profile:
Tasks:
- Direct responsibility for OEM and key accounts
- Technical and commercial support of customers and projects
- Applications Engineering
- Creating and followup of proposals and offers
- Perform presentations
- Project management and aftersales support
- Launching new products and system solutions
- Annual sales target responsibility
- Travel 25 – 50%
Background:
- Railway Sales/Engineering background ( Min 2 – 3 Years)
- Professional Sales knowledge
- Education: Technical degree preferred.
- Basic Technical comprehension
- Self motivated / reliant, can work independently but able to work within a team environment
- Strong Computer skills
- Relocation to Philadelphia (PA/NJ) area required
