Procurement & Grants Officer

 

MetroLINK Transit located in Rock Island, Illinois, is seeking a Procurement & Grants Officer. This individual will be responsible for purchasing equipment, supplies and services as required by the organization and performing grant administration duties for State and Federal grants.

 

Work includes analyzing requisitions and requests for purchase to determine types of materials, supplies, equipment, or services required, preparing appropriate documentation for issuing Invitations for Bids (IFB’s), Requests for Proposals (RFP’s), and competitive Requests for Quotes (RFQ’s), analyzing bids, recommending awards and preparing necessary documentation and agenda materials for contract awards. Prepares State and Federal capital grant applications, reviews grant contract documentation to determine regulatory requirements, and monitors progress of capital grants projects.

 

This is a full-time position with a full benefit package to include health, dental and life insurance, company pension, 457 retirement plan, paid sick, vacation and holiday pay and free transportation on our Metro system. Salary range is $45,322 – $72,515 and will commensurate with experience.

 

Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field, four (4) years of professional purchasing and contract administration experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
