Architect/Architectural Designer - Senior

General Description:
The primary role of this position is developing architectural concepts, details, and contract documents for transportation infrastructure, industrial, and commercial projects. Undertakes development of, and manages requirements for, design duties in planning, designing, and overseeing a variety of projects; project integration of transportation systems including electrical, civil, and mechanical systems. Has technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments with or without additional staff.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with technical proposals for new projects and help develop cost proposals based on client specifications.
- Manage assigned project work including scope, schedule, and budget and provide timely, quality milestone reporting.
- Design and preparation of construction documents for a wide range of projects, including architectural planning, conceptual design development, architectural programming, code review, conceptual design development, rehabilitation, accessible design, lighting design, and surveying for transportation projects. Develop documents in BIM/Revit.
- Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, or program modifications and repairs.
- Perform site investigations as required.
- Mentor junior staff.
Required Minimum Education, Licenses & Work Experience:
- BA Degree in Architecture.
- Minimum of five plus years of relevant experience.
- Leadership and communications skills to supervise and mentor communications staff.
- Experience working on transportation facilities.
- Excellent verbal communications skills.
- Ability to develop technical and cost proposals.
- Proficiency in the following software programs: Revit, AutoCAD, MS Excel, Word, and Outlook; scheduling software, and set up and run database reports in software programs used by the Company and ability to quickly learn software programs.
