Transportation & Operations Project Manager

Description:

The Transportation Management Association of Chester County (TMACC), a 501(c)4 congestion mitigation and air quality transportation agency headquartered in Malvern, Pennsylvania, is currently accepting applications for the position of Transportation & Operations Project Manager. This position directs the management, coordination, and oversight of technical work performed by staff which includes bus scheduling and contracts, grant/ study projects with engineering and  planning consulting firms related to various transit and mobility alternative projects; management of a taxi and transit voucher program, defines transportation objectives, supporting their achievement, and measuring/reporting results; forecasts and provides organizational vision for transportation and land planning issues; advises Executive Director on land planning and transportation related issues; and provides project status reports to the Board of Directors as needed. This position reports directly to and serves the Executive Director.

Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Urban Planning, Transportation Engineering, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in transportation and/or land planning. A Master’s degree and prior experiences with urban planning, public transportation/ bus operations and/or transportation projects is preferred.

Knowledge of: 

Transportation systems, GIS, bicycle/pedestrian planning and/or urban planning and design concepts and practices; federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing transportation and land use projects; Federal Transportation Agency policies, procedures, and practices; and applicable regulations and ordinances governing transit authorities.

Ability to: 

Effectively interact with all levels of staff, community leaders, Board members, government representatives, consultants, and TMACC customers; prepare and deliver clear and concise oral presentations and written reports; promote innovation and improvements; and work independently and proactively as part of a team.

Salary & Benefits:

This is a full-time position. The salary range is $43k to $50k. TMACC offers a comprehensive benefits package including health and dental insurance, retirement benefits, paid vacation, personal and compensatory, sick leave and paid holidays.
