SUMMARY:IED Response on Mass Transit and Passenger Rail Systems
DESCRIPTION:This course, approved by FEMA, provides an environment for first responders to perform tactical operations in a scenario-driven exercise. The course features realistic conditions involving a post-blast IED incident on a mass transit/passenger rail system. Training includes classroom presentations, hands-on performance based training, and a full-scale realistic exercise at the Center for National Response (CNR ) Memorial Tunnel in Gallagher, West Virginia.
Target AudienceThis three-day course will target audience including emergency medical services, fire services, hazardous materials, and law enforcement.
CEU’sStudents will receive 2.8 CEU’s at the completion of the course
