Jim Clemensen has joined Vapor Bus International and Ricon Corp. as sales and service representative. Clemensen was previously operations manager at Event 360.

Mike Stern joined Maintenance Design Group in September as a senior facility design manager in the Baltimore office. He brings over 35 years of both domestic and international transit and rail project experience. Josh Foster joined the Baltimore office in November as a facility designer.He brings experience in both architecture and urban design to his project work as well as 3D architectural modeling, sustainable design and project planning skills.

She has more than 30 years of experience as a transportation industry executive and is the founder and president of The Wathen Group, where she provides strategic advisory services and leadership support for organizations focusing upon market positioning, capacity building and operational improvements.

Coleen M. Cook, PMP, has been appointed to the position of associate principal at Wendel. As director of information technology, she manages the design and administration of technology services for Wendel’s six offices across the country and more than 200 professionals and support staff. Susan Sherwood, CP was appointed associate principal. She's a program manager for Wendel’s Public Transportation Group with a personal specialty in passenger rail facilities and rail agency coordination. Tony Kellen joined the group to assist with the execution of regional and national public transportation and CNG projects. He comes to Wendel with over 27 years of experience as a public transportation industry leader, recently, as director of operations and technology at St. Cloud Metropolitan Transit Commission.

Volker Stamer is the new director of stationary products at Bitzer Kühlmaschinenbau GmbH in Sindelfingen, Germany. He will be combining this new role with his previous duties as division manager customer support - stationary products. Rob de Bruyn was named managing director of the subsidiaries Bitzer Refrigeration Asia, Bitzer Compressors Indonesia and Bitzer Malaysia. He’s been with the company for more than 20 years and, as managing director of Bitzer Compressors Indonesia previously and more recently managing director of Bitzer India. Gianni Parlanti will occupy the newly created position of director of business development at the Bitzer headquarters. He’s been working in Asia for eight years, including in his function as managing director of Bitzer Refrigeration Asia.

Ken Browning has been appointed to the Transportation Management Association (TMA Group) Board of Directors. He's currently the assistant vice chancellor for facilities and construction at Vanderbilt Medical Center and holds Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Science.

Tilman Globig, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, was named a senior associate at di Domenico + Partners.Since joining the firm in the summer of 2013, Globig has served as project manager and quality control director for several projects, including the restoration of the 168th and 181st Street subway stations, a new entrance at the 28th Street station at 400 Park Avenue South, and component replacement projects for numerous stations on the New Lots and Jamaica Avenue lines

Safi was named to the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority’s board of trustees. He has served on various boards and foundations, most notably the Cincinnati Health Department where he was chair from 2010 - 2013 and a member for seven years, the University of Cincinnati, and the Dean’s Board of Advisors at the Winkle College of Pharmacy.

Rick Stopfer, an Irving councilman from 1998 to 2012, has been appointed to the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Board of Directors by the Irving City Council. He's a retired automotive consultant, and his wife Melanie have been Irving residents since 1988.

Paul Sullivan has been named a senior supervising engineer in the Newark, N.J., office of Parsons Brinckerhoff. In his new position, Sullivan will work with transit agencies in managing the planning and design of major transit and rail infrastructure projects in the Northeast. John D. Porcari, former deputy secretary of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), has been named senior vice president and national director of strategic consulting in the Washington, D.C., office. He will guide the firm’s efforts to integrate technical expertise with the strategic thinking needed by owners, developers, and operators of transportation infrastructure to solve critical business and operational problems and establish the foundation for successful delivery of programs and projects.

Brian Marshia has joined Stertil-Koni as technical support manager. He brings extensive experience as a field service engineer and is also a licensed master electrician and has substantial background in customer support, training, trouble shooting and knowledge transfer with other field technicians.

Dave Rich was named chief financial officer of Proterra Inc. He brings 23 years of financial and business leadership experience, including 19 years in progressively responsible roles in the areas of corporate business development, corporate capital investment and automotive cash. Bill Fay was named vice president of sales. He has more than 20 years of industry experience and a proven track record of developing, implementing and executing go-to-market strategies. 

Raymond A. Atkins has joined Sidley Austin LLP in the firm's Washington, D.C., office as a partner and member of its transportation practice. Atkins was previously general counsel of the Surface Transportation Board (STB).

Steve Donald has joined Stantec as railway operations planning and modeling lead. Based in the company's Barrie, On., office, he will lead the railway operations planning and modeling group specializing in transit and rail capacity studies, operations planning, scheduling, and simulation. 

Stephen Kadenacy, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Aecom Technology Corp. was appointed as an independent director for ABM Inc. He was also appointed to the audit committee. 

Tampa Councilman Mike Suarez was elected as chair chair of the Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority. Steve Polzin was re-elected vice chairman and Temple Terrace Councilman Eddie Vance as secretary of the board.

Jeff Gee was elected chair of the San Mateo County Transit District Board of Directors. He's mayor of Redwood City,Calif., was elected to the board by the city selection committee to represent the southern cities in the County. Shirley Harris was elected vice chair. She's a longtime SamTrans board member, was elected by the board to serve as a public member. 

Joseph “Joe” Giulietti has been named president of Metro-North Railroad. He most recently served as executive director of the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA).

 Tom Nolan was selected as chair of the Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board?. Jerry Deal was elected vice chair.
