Brent Beasley has joined the ABC Companies as parts territory manager for Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida. Robert “Robbie” Wilson was appointed parts territory manager for Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia and Virginia.

David M. Stackrow was elected to serve a third term as chairman of Capital District Transportation Authority Board. Georgeanna N. Lussier was elected to vice chair, Joseph M. Spairana, Jr. was elected secretary and Arthur F. Young, Jr. was elected as treasurer. Also elected to the board were Norman MillerThomas OwensLisa Ballout and Mark Gerling.

John Kardos was appointed vice president of business development for Nova Bus.

Richard Palmer has joined Stertil-Koni as national account manager. He will be responsible for actively serving, growing and pursuing national account opportunities in the U.S. and Canada.

WTS International has elected Beverley K. Swaim-Staley vice chair of its board of directors. She's currently the president and CEO of Union Station Redevelopment Corp. (USRC). 

John Walsh has been appointed vice president of sales and marketing for ARBOC Specialty Vehicles.

Durham Region Transit (DRT) has appointed Vincent Patterson general manager.

Patrick Scully has been named the new executive vice president of sales and marketing for Motor Coach Industries Inc.

Foothill Transit's LaShawn King Gillespie was recently recognized by Senator Ed Hernandez at an awards ceremony to honor the 2013 Women of Achievement for the 24th Senate District in celebration of Women's History Month.

Kenneth Jong has been named San Francisco Area Manager at Parsons Brinckerhoff. In his new position, Jong is responsible for managing the firm’s operations in the Bay Area, including client relations, project performance, staffing, business development and marketing. Jong has been with Parsons Brinckerhoff for 25 years in a variety of management and project delivery positions. Anthony Federico has been named a principal systems and communications engineer in the Boston office of Parsons Brinckerhoff. In his new position, Federico is responsible for performing special systems telecommunications design for buildings, campuses, and support facilities, as well as roadway tunnel systems and pumping stations. He has more than 15 years of experience managing electrical design efforts for intelligent transportation systems projects. Maximo Perez has been named a supervising construction engineer in the New York City office of Parsons Brinckerhoff. In his new position, Perez is responsible for the placing in service of communications equipment and the review and approval of operational and maintenance manuals for communications systems such as fiber-optic and telephone networks, radio, public address, CCTV, fire alarm, and security systems for transit construction projects. He comes to Parsons Brinckerhoff after a 30-year career with MTA-New York City Transit. Sean Libberton has been named a principal consultant in the strategic consulting group of Parsons Brinckerhoff. He will be based in Parsons Brinckerhoff’s Washington, D.C. office. Ron Tober has been named a senior advisor. He's the former CEO of the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS). David Peterson has been name a senior engineering manager in the Minneapolis office. Sharon Humphreys has been named a senior supervising engineer in the San Diego office. Michelle Kendall has been named area manager for the Orlando office. Lurae Stuart has been named a senior principal technical specialist in the Portland, Ore., office.

The National Public Employer Labor Relations Association (NPELRA) honored Jerry Keating of the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) with its 2013 Award of Excellence for his outstanding career contributions. NPELRA selected Keating, who serves as the RTC’s assistant general manager and chief human resources officer, for his commitment to fostering a culture at the RTC where employees feel valued and for his ability to develop collaborative relationships with unions leading to successful negotiations and grievances being resolved.

URS Corp. has named William Harnagel vice president and corporate controller. In his new position, Harnagel is responsible for overseeing the company’s corporate accounting functions, including financial reporting, planning and budgeting, federal acquisition regulation compliance and insurance and information technology accounting. He also will oversee URS’ accounting policies and procedures in accordance with generally accepted accounting procedures and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission requirements, ensuring the integrity of the company's financial data and reporting. Richard Reis has been named a vice president and northwest regional manager for the infrastructure and environment division.

The Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) announced the appointment of Nabi R. Fakroddin as its newest board member, representing Kane County, replacing Jan Carlson whose term expired in March.
