UL has announced their Basingstoke-based security laboratory is the first laboratory to be approved to perform evaluations for the PCI 3DS SDK program.

UL has announced their Basingstoke-based security laboratory is the first laboratory to be approved to perform evaluations for the PCI 3DS SDK program.

The PCI 3-D Secure Software Development Kit (3DS SDK) supports the EMV 3-D Secure-SDK Specification, which defines the EMV 3DS requirements for entities developing 3DS Software Development Kits (SDK) for use in mobile-based 3DS transactions. The PCI 3DS Security Standard focuses on securing the EMV 3DS infrastructure that supports 3DS transactions.

UL’s Basingstoke-based security laboratory has become the first laboratory to be approved by PCI Security Standards Council to perform security evaluations in accordance with the PCI 3DS SDK Security Standard. With the UL 3DS Self Test Platform, UL is now able to provide an end-to-end 3-D Secure certification and evaluation solution.

Isabelle Noblanc, vice president & general manager of UL Identity Management & Security, said: “We are very pleased to be the first laboratory to be approved by PCI SSC to perform evaluations for the PCI 3DS SDK program.
