WSP USA welcomes a new strategic advisor in the Seattle officer for WSP’s Northwest District Team.

Linea Laird brings 30 years of experience and will work on projects and collaborate with transportation market managers in Portland and Seattle. She will advance client relationships and expand knowledge around major infrastructure projects, implement business development strategies, and serve as an expert on complex project delivery while identifying innovative approaches to meet client goals.

“Linea’s industry knowledge and roots in the Pacific Northwest with key clients and community leaders is unparalleled,” said David Warner, WSP northwest district manager. “She has consistently delivered and been an integral piece of some of the most significant projects and programs in the region. We are honored to have a renowned individual like Linea in our corner to deliver value to our clients.”

Laird held various positions at the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), operating in high-profile roles on some of the region’s most impactful projects. She was the project manager for the $760 million Tacoma Narrows Bridge project, and director of design-build and program administrator for the $1.6 billion Alaskan Way Viaduct Replacement Program. After retiring from WSDOT as chief engineer, assistant secretary of engineering and regional operations, Laird acted as the interim director of transportation for the Seattle Department of Transportation, reporting directly to the City of Seattle deputy mayor, Shefali Ranganathan.
