The debate surrounding diesel-powered vehicles has already had an initial effect and given electromobility in cities a massive boost.

The debate surrounding diesel-powered vehicles has already had an initial effect and given electromobility in cities a massive boost. While everyone concerned agrees that electric buses alone cannot reduce NOx emissions below the legal limit, switching over can still make a significant impact. Nationwide, operators are establishing pilot projects and in a number of foreign markets entire fleets are running electric buses. At BUS2BUS, which will take place from March 19 to 21, 2019, manufacturers and suppliers will be showcasing the entire range of market-ready products, services and solutions.

As an independent business platform in Europe’s most important market, following its successful launch in 2017 BUS2BUS will be debating the latest developments in electromobility not only at the trade fair, but at the bdo congress and the Future Forum as well. Kerstin Kube-Erkens, senior product manager at BUS2BUS: ”We will remain true to our slogan ’Next stop – the future’ and at BUS2BUS 2019 will again focus on forward-looking bus industry topics. Besides digitalisation and the resultant opportunities and challenges, that also means alternative power trains and the charging infrastructure.“

Volvo, Sileo and Linkker were manufacturers displaying electric buses at BUS2BUS 2017. ZF presented electric drive systems. The goal is for more companies in the charging infrastructure and battery technology field to be among the exhibitors at the next BUS2BUS.
