Hometown Manufacturing collaborates with BAE Systems

Full electric vehicles are now available on heavy-duty low-floor buses and trolleys.

Hometown Manufacturing Inc. is collaborating with BAE Systems to offer its electric drivetrain and accessory power management systems.  

“We are excited to pair this system with our long-standing jewel of the transit world – the streetcar. Our new urban bus will be offered straight away with a full electric option,” said Kristina Pence-Dunow, CEO and president of Hometown Manufacturing. 

BAE Systems has more than 25 years of experience developing and fielding electric propulsion and accessory power systems for transit buses. BAE Systems is helping Hometown advance transit vehicle mobility with sustainable, high-performance electric solutions.
