Volvo Breaks Ground on New Facility

Volvo celebrated the groundbreaking of new customer delivery center serving Nova Bus and Prevost in Plattsburgh, New York. 

Volvo is investing to sustain the growth and competitiveness of Nova Bus and Prevost. The construction project for a new bus customer delivery center will enhance clients’ experience in Plattsburgh.

Volvo welcomed Plattsburgh local officials, employees and customers to the ground breaking of the future bus delivery center serving Nova Bus and Prevost. “Partnerships are at the heart of our business and we are proud to mark a new stage in the synergy of Prevost and Nova Bus with the building of this shared state of the art customer delivery center” said Ralph Acs, Volvo Buses, senior vice president business region Americas.

The construction of this project will start in the fall 2015. “The customers will experience this new center on the beginning of 2016 and witness the distinguished service approach that characterizes both Nova Bus and Prevost” Stéphane Leblanc, Volvo Buses North America, vice president operations.

In addition to the contribution to the New York State economy, the positive effects of this new delivery center will be felt in neighboring provinces and states. The project is linked to growth projection which will have an impact on the whole supply chains on both sides of the borders.
