New JTS Semester Pass Program Available for Students

Aug. 27, 2015

The School District of Janesville and the Janesville Transit System are pleased to announce the implementation of a new semester pass program for middle and high school students.

The pass is a tamper-proof hologram sticker that is affixed to the back side of a middle or high school student’s identification card. The pass costs $140 per semester and allows a student unlimited rides on all JTS in-city routes. This means students can use the pass to get to and from school; the library; the mall; or other destinations in Janesville. The pass may be used during the day, in the evening, or on the weekends.

Passes may be purchased starting August 20, 2015 at the following schools:

  • Edison, Franklin and Marshall Middle Schools
  • Craig and Parker High Schools
  • Rock River Charter School, Rock University and TAGOS Leadership Academy

Families not interested in purchasing a semester pass may continue to use youth tokens for middle or high school student trips on JTS.
